Indexed description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Business Systems Analyst with a strong background in data-focused projects to join an elite team building a brand-new, enterprise-scale data platform from scratch on Microsoft Azure. This is a pure greenfield delivery initiative focusing entirely on design, requirements engineering, and implementation.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end requirements lifecycle, running discovery workshops, gathering business needs, and translating them into clear, actionable stories for engineering and QA teams. You will act with high autonomy (thinking like a Technical Product Owner) to bridge the gap between senior client stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the requirements lifecycle: lead discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops to surface, detail, and agree on functional and data requirements.
  • Translate complex business processes and data needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with distributed Data Architects and Engineers, anticipating technical questions and clarifying ambiguities proactively.
  • Produce documentation tailored to both technical engineering teams and non-technical business end-users.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and Technical Product Owner within an Agile/Scrum delivery framework.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst on data-centric projects (data warehousing, BI, or data platforms).
  • Conceptual understanding of modern cloud data stacks, specifically Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, or Synapse.
  • Proven track record in greenfield initiatives and Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with requirements management tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • High credibility, corporate diplomacy, and exceptional English communication skills (both written and verbal).

Nice to have

  • Basic SQL querying skills.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Qlik Sense, or Power BI).
  • Hands-on exposure to relational databases and API design concepts.

We offer

  • Opportunity to work on bleeding-edge projects
  • Work with a highly motivated and dedicated team
  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible schedule
  • Benefits package - medical insurance, sports
  • Corporate social events
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Well-equipped office
