About Your Role:

As an Analyst, Inbound Transportation at Dollar Tree, you'll provide operational, analytical, and information systems support to all areas of the Inbound Transportation team. You'll develop and execute reporting solutions, support transportation systems, and partner with transportation operations, supply chain leadership, vendors, and merchants to improve supply chain performance, enhance service levels, and reduce overall transportation costs.

Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Transportation Operations & Systems Support

  • Support the daily transportation routing process to achieve the highest transportation service level at the lowest possible cost through proper modal and carrier selection.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and support of new transportation technology solutions, system upgrades, and operational processes.
  • Successfully execute system testing for transportation applications, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Perform system administration functions and provide ongoing operational support for transportation systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting internal teams, vendors, and carrier partners.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance analytical tools to measure operational performance, support SLA compliance, define transportation costs, and support budget execution.
  • Create and execute reports that provide actionable insights for transportation operations and leadership.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects as assigned by Transportation leadership.
  • Utilize data to identify opportunities for operational improvements and increased transportation efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with vendors, merchants, transportation operations, and supply chain leadership to communicate logistics costs, service standards, and transportation plans throughout the supply chain.
  • Support cross-functional transportation initiatives by providing accurate reporting and analytical support.
  • Build strong working relationships across departments to improve inbound transportation performance.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve transportation processes, reporting, analytics, and system functionality.
  • Support the ongoing refinement of transportation systems and analytical processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and reduce company landed costs.
  • Complete additional assignments and projects as required.

Your Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of data analysis experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, macros, VLOOKUP, Power Pivot, and Power BI.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access.
  • Ability to write and understand SQL.
  • Experience with data governance or data management.
  • Experience successfully deploying complex projects independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Dynamic, adaptable work style with the ability to thrive in a changing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, collaborative approach with a strong customer-service mindset.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Supply Chain.
  • Practical working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or Alteryx.
  • Ability to interpret and understand EDI transactions.
  • Experience or education in statistics and/or financial reporting.

Start Rate = $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 based on experience plus 10% bonus.
