IT Business Analyst Role

Position Summary

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives and business operations within the Technology organization. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to analyze business needs, improve operational processes, and deliver reporting and digital solutions that enhance organizational performance.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and has experience translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Act as the liaison between business users and development teams to ensure requirements are clearly defined and successfully implemented.
• Manage and enhance executive dashboards, reports, and performance metrics using BI tools and SQL.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Support the delivery of internal digital solutions, including requirement definition, backlog management, user acceptance testing (UAT), and change implementation.
• Monitor data quality and ensure reporting accuracy to support business decision-making.
• Prepare business reports, presentations, and documentation for management and key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and organizational transformation projects.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and recommend practical solutions to improve business outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Business Operations Analyst, or in a similar role.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and working closely with software development teams.
• Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Domo.
• Working knowledge of SQL and basic understanding of data integration or ETL concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Business-level English proficiency and native or business-level Japanese proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting internal business applications or enterprise digital products.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working within IT, PMO, or technology organizations.
• Knowledge of AI productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or Claude.
• Experience with KPI reporting, executive dashboards, or performance management.
