Business Analyst

Salary: £50,000

Role Type: Initial 12 Month FTC

Location: Central Birmingham - Hybrid working – 2 to 3 days on site.


Excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to join a growing team in a leading Financial Services organisation based in central Birmingham.


Joining their Change and Transformation division, as a Business Analyst you will be responsible for analysing, defining and shaping strategic outcomes to deliver change across the business, clients and multiple projects.


The Role:


  • Support the analysis, definition and delivery of business change initiatives, helping to identify requirements and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation to support change activities and contribute to wider business objectives.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops and discussions to gather information, share insights and support decision-making.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of project and business documentation, ensuring key information is captured and communicated effectively.
  • Build strong working relationships across the business and with external partners, helping to identify and resolve challenges as they arise.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the successful delivery of change programmes.


About You:


We're looking for a proactive and driven Business Analyst who takes ownership, builds strong relationships and thrives in a change-focused environment. You'll be confident working with stakeholders at all levels, able to balance competing priorities and committed to delivering successful outcomes from inception through to implementation.


To be successful in this role, you'll bring:


  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst across a variety of change, transformation or business improvement initiatives.
  • A strong sense of accountability, with the ability to take ownership of projects, workstreams or key deliverables and drive them through to completion.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence, engage and secure buy-in from a range of audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify underlying business needs and recommend effective solutions.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, gathering requirements and translating business needs into clear and actionable outcomes.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining organised, adaptable and focused on delivery.
  • A collaborative approach, building positive working relationships across teams and with external partners where required.
  • Experience working within complex or regulated environments and supporting business change programmes.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills, alongside proficiency with common business and project management tools.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in new ways of working and delivering better business outcomes.


Desirable experience includes:


  • Exposure to Agile delivery environments and associated tools and methodologies.
  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation or strategic change initiatives.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or evidence of continued professional development within Business Analysis or Change disciplines.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices across business analysis, process improvement, data analysis or change management.
