About The Role
The role is responsible for a close collaboration with business units across the REWE Group and REWE digital products to identify complex BI requirements, document them as user stories, and translate them into modern dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
What You Will Do
- Provide a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams
- Translate business KPIs and requirements into self-service BI solutions
- Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure optimal data integration and preparation.
- Design analytical data models for business use cases
- Provide active support the implementation of robust data pipelines and algorithms
- Own the end-to-end documentation of data models, reporting logic, and data flows.
- Ensure high data quality through continuous checks, testing, validation, and automated quality reporting
- Provide support and training to users in the effective use of our BI tools,
- Deliver support and operational troubleshooting, including root-cause analysis, permissions management, and frontend script corrections
- Help the team to shape the product vision and roadmap, evaluate emerging BI technologies through prototypes
- At least 5 – 6 years of experience as IT Business Intelligence Engineer or similar roles such as Business Intelligence, Requirements Engineering, or Data Engineering.
- Hands-on experience designing dashboards, creating data queries
- Able to communicate actionable insights through data visualization SQL skills and practical experience in building analytical data models
- Can combine outstanding analytical capabilities with a strong technical understanding of IT systems
- Abel to quickly identify and resolve issues across the entire end-to-end data flow while continuously improving data quality
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
- Hands on with Power BI, Tableau
- University degree in (Business) Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics Fluent written and spoken English
Experience or Certification with Strategy (former MicroStrategy)
