Business Operations Manager

A leading global trading firm is seeking a mid-level Business Analyst / Trading Operations professional to join a highly integrated, front-office-facing team. This role offers direct exposure to trading activity and the opportunity to drive meaningful improvements across data, processes, and technology.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Trading, Operations, and Technology teams to enhance processes and implement scalable solutions
• Analyze and consolidate trading data (trades, reference data, fees, accruals) to produce insights and reporting
• Develop tools and analytical solutions using Python and SQL, including reconciliations and forecasting
• Map and optimize end-to-end workflows using tools such as Visio or Lucidchart
• Convert business needs into functional requirements and partner with developers on system enhancements
• Support core functions including trade capture, margin and capital management, and treasury activities
• Engage with global stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting, and operational efficiency

Requirements

• 5-12 years of experience in Trading Operations, Business Analysis, Treasury, or a similar function
• Experience working closely with trading desks or supporting specific asset classes (Fixed Income preferred)
• Strong technical skillset including SQL, Python, and advanced Excel
• Proven experience designing workflows and process maps using tools like Visio or Lucidchart
• Familiarity with database platforms such as MySQL, Oracle, or MSSQL
• Understanding of SDLC and experience working alongside technology teams
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to prioritize, problem-solve, and operate independently
