Through digital learning, workshops, coaching and practical development programmes, we help individuals and organisations build the knowledge, confidence and capabilities they need to succeed.

We are a values-driven organisation focused on innovation, authenticity, inspiration and strong relationships, creating meaningful impact for our learners, clients and colleagues.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced coaching professional to support learners completing our Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship.

This is primarily a coaching and pastoral role. You will build trusted relationships with learners, help them overcome barriers and provide the right balance of support, encouragement and constructive challenge. Working with learners, line managers and the wider Apprenticeship Team, you will help learners remain engaged, take ownership of their progress and apply their learning within real HR and workplace situations.

You do not need to be a senior HR specialist, but you must be confident working with HR and people professionals and understanding their workplace context.

The role is fully remote, although candidates must live within reasonable travelling distance of London for occasional meetings and company events.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Provide expert coaching, guidance and motivation to adult learners enrolled on the Level 5 People Professional Apprenticeship
  • Develop tailored learning plans that support progression from each learner’s individual starting point
  • Integrate on-the-job and off-the-job learning, helping learners apply people practices effectively
  • Provide additional support and catch-up strategies based on individual learner needs
  • Engage line managers in learner progress through regular tripartite reviews
  • Prepare learners for end-point assessment
  • Ensure learners meet off-the-job training requirements and achieve their learning outcomes
  • Proactively re-engage learners who are falling behind and support them to return to planned progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely learner records in line with funding, quality and compliance requirements
  • Support with Workshop delivery and marking
  • Participate in Apprenticeship Team and standardisation meetings
  • Foster a passion for learning among professionals from a diverse range of organisations and industries

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience coaching, mentoring or supporting adult learners
  • A strong pastoral approach and the ability to respond appropriately to barriers affecting learning
  • The ability to build trusted relationships while maintaining clear expectations and accountability
  • Confidence holding supportive and appropriately challenging conversations
  • Strong communication, organisation and learner-management skills
  • Confidence working with HR and people professionals and helping them apply learning in the workplace
  • A relevant qualification in coaching, teaching, assessing, learning and development or people practice, or equivalent professional experience
  • An understanding of safeguarding and effective learner support

Desirable

  • Experience within the apprenticeship or further education sector
  • Experience supporting Level 5 People Professional learners
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship requirements, including off-the-job training and end-point assessment
  • A recognised coaching, teaching or assessing qualification
  • A Level 5 or higher qualification in coaching, learning and development, HR or people practice

Interpersonal Fit

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is warm, approachable and committed to providing a positive learner experience
  • Brings curiosity and a passion for learning
  • Communicates clearly and builds strong relationships
  • Balances empathy with constructive challenge and accountability
  • Takes ownership, works collaboratively and delivers with quality
