About the Role:
We are seeking a Product Owner to play a critical role in driving product development within an Agile Scrum environment. This individual will be responsible for defining requirements, managing the product backlog, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. The Product Owner will act as the key bridge between stakeholders and engineering teams, ensuring that each sprint delivers meaningful value aligned with business goals and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with product strategy and business objectives
Gather, analyze, and document requirements through discovery sessions and stakeholder collaboration
Write clear, detailed, and actionable user stories and epics for development teams
Partner closely with engineering, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive product delivery
Lead backlog grooming sessions and manage work through the full software development lifecycle
Use customer feedback, internal data, and market insights to inform product decisions and prioritization
Communicate roadmap updates, deliverables, risks, and progress to stakeholders and leadership
Support product launch activities including demos, training, and cross-functional coordination
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Track key performance indicators and measure product success against business outcomes
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst within a software environment
Strong experience working in Agile Scrum environments
Hands-on experience writing user stories, epics, and managing product backlogs
Ability to translate customer needs and data into clear product requirements
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
Additional Information:
Hybrid schedule requiring three days onsite in Elk Grove, CA
No fully remote option available
