Business Analyst for Asset Optimization & Logistics (f/m/d)

What you will do:

• Understand business processes and data in Energy Trading and Asset Optimization & Logistics mainly related to the physical aspects of energy trading.
• Define and document processes, data, interfaces, and IT system functionalities, being able to propose improvements and potential reengineering for those.
• Analyze business and IT needs consistently to produce clear technical requirements.
• Analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis, and create diagnostics.
• Conduct testing and validation of business requirements and technical implementations.
• Perform the role of subject matter expert / power user / key user and collaborate with real users for product evolution.
• Coordinate and communicate with business stakeholders, IT teams and management.

What you bring & who you are:

• University degree in Engineering, preferably Industrial, Energy, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Over 5 years of experience in IT engineering projects, particularly in inception-analysis and testing-validation phases applying modeling and design tools and methods.
• Domain knowledge in energy and/or trading is highly needed. Also valued is domain knowledge on finance, telecommunications or industrial sectors.
• Experience in the development and operation of custom applications or vertical products. Experience in software development is highly appreciated.
• Strong communication skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach.
• Full fluency in spoken English together with written English is a must (at least C1), a good understanding of Spanish would be a plus.
