About The Role And Where You Will Be Working
Are you passionate about optimising business applications and delivering smart technology solutions? Southern Cross Care WA is seeking two experienced Application Systems Analyst to join our Technology & Transformation team, where you’ll play a key role in supporting and enhancing the functionality of our critical enterprise systems.
We currently have two contract opportunities available based at our Central Office in Rivervale, Western Australia:
- One maternity leave cover position through to July 2027
- One maximum-term contract through to October 2027
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Identifying and resolving escalated system issues in a timely manner, working closely with internal ICT teams and external providers to minimise disruptions to critical services.
- Managing system administration, monitoring, and maintenance to ensure the stability, performance, and availability of key business applications.
- Driving IT service management practices, including incident, problem, change, and knowledge management, to support a structured and reliable systems environment.
- Creating and delivering effective training resources for end users, ensuring system changes and updates are understood and adopted across the organisation.
- Leading the transition of workloads to internal teams, backed by robust quality assurance, documentation of business processes and system requirements, and collaboration with software vendors to maintain seamless system operations.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience implementing major ERP systems, as well as Payroll, Rostering, or Scheduling systems. Your ability to engage stakeholders, manage technical issues, and support business outcomes will set you apart.
Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Virtual Agents will be highly regarded, as will your ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
To Be Considered For This Role You’ll Need
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to understand and document business needs, maintain clear communication, and ensure alignment on system expectations and goals.
- A collaborative and analytical approach to system analysis, applying best-practice methodologies to identify improvements and drive project success across business units.
- Proven ability to review, enhance, and support application systems through regular maintenance, user training, and responsive support to maximise adoption and performance.
- Solid technical expertise, particularly with SQL and enterprise systems such as Procura, Epicor, or HRMIS, along with the capability to troubleshoot issues and liaise effectively with vendors.
- Experience in creating reports and dashboards using tools like SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI, as well as maintaining detailed documentation of system processes, and participating in system testing and deployment activities.
