Duration: 18 month Contract with extensions likely

Location: Hybrid-3 days onsite in OKC

Compensation: $50-$55/hr

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Analyst operating in a Product Owner capacity
• Experience supporting large-scale system implementations, digital transformations, or legacy system replacements
• Proven ability to own and prioritize a product backlog while balancing business objectives and technical requirements
• Experience working with business stakeholders, development teams, and 3rd-party vendors
• Strong expertise in user story creation, backlog refinement, prioritization, and acceptance criteria development
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint planning, and roadmap tracking
• Experience influencing high-level stakeholders across business and technology teams
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
• Experience driving product decisions and delivering business value throughout the implementation lifecycle

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with annuity systems, insurance platforms, or financial services applications
• Background in policy administration or benefits systems
• Experience supporting data migration or system integration efforts
• Familiarity with regulated environments (insurance, finance, etc.)

Day to Day

Insight Global is seeking a Product Owner to support a large-scale annuity platform implementation, replacing a legacy system with a modern 3rd-party solution. This high-visibility initiative is focused on improving annuity operations, enhancing system capabilities, and modernizing core business processes.

This project is already in-flight and requires a Product Owner who can provide ownership, prioritization, and direction across stakeholders, technology teams, and external partners. The ideal candidate will serve as the voice of the business, ensuring the team is focused on delivering the highest-value features while driving alignment across a complex stakeholder landscape.

This resource will work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and a 3rd-party vendor to define priorities, manage the product backlog, and support successful delivery of the new annuity platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features, enhancements, and business requirements
• Partner with stakeholders to define product vision, objectives, and business outcomes
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized work items
• Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization activities with delivery teams
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and 3rd-party vendors
• Drive alignment and decision-making across cross-functional teams
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges
• Utilize Azure DevOps for backlog management, user story tracking, and release planning
• Support implementation efforts, integrations, testing activities, and rollout planning
• Provide product leadership and ownership to help drive successful delivery and adoption of the new platform

Compensation:

$50/hr to $55/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
