Job summary
Client is looking for Business Analyst/Content Migration consultant with strong in SharePoint
Responsibilities
- Discovery and Current State: Assess content in network drives, Box, Google Drive, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint; identify owners, stewards, key users, current folder structures, sharing needs, and active vs. archival content.
- Future-State SharePoint Design: Help departments design SharePoint sites, libraries, folders, ownership roles, and access models; simplify legacy structures and align recommendations with governance expectations.
- Migration Readiness: Create source-to-destination maps, document dependencies, flag content needing special handling, recommend migration sequencing, prepare cutover readiness steps, and help minimize downtime.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct interviews and workshops, facilitate decisions, build consensus, document action items, prepare status updates, and support communications to business units.
Qualifications
- Business Analysis :Requirements gathering, process discovery, workshop facilitation, decision documentation, and translation of user needs into actionable plans.
- Information Architecture: SharePoint site, library, and folder structure planning; content ownership models; content cleanup and simplification; governance mindset.
- Migration Planning: Source-to-destination mapping, migration readiness, cutover planning, access validation, downtime reduction, sequencing, and dependency tracking.
- Microsoft 365 Familiarity: Working knowledge of SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Box, and Google Drive migration considerations; ability to work with platform specialists.
- Project Coordination: Work plans, status reporting, risk/issue logs, action item follow-up, meeting facilitation, and coordination across multiple departments.
