The Team:
The Global Brands & Commercial IT team enables Mattel’s global Creative, Brand, Marketing, and Commercial organizations by delivering scalable digital platforms that power the end-to-end content supply chain. We support creative workflows, digital asset management, enterprise content platforms, and large-scale transformation initiatives across Mattel’s global portfolio of brands.
Operating within a scaled Agile model, each Business Analyst serves as a functional or release train lead—owning prioritization, stakeholder partnership, and requirements delivery for their domain.
The Opportunity:
Mattel is seeking an ITBusiness Analyst to partner with Creative and Business teams to modernize content operations and support enterprise transformation. This role acts as a strategic liaison between IT and the business, driving improvements across the content lifecycle—from asset creation and management through publishing, localization, and governance.
This position reports to the Global Brands & Commercial Senior Manager.
What Your Impact Will Be
Creative & Content Supply Chain Enablement
- Partner with Creative teams to understand current-state content workflows and define scalable future-state enterprise processes.
- Lead requirements definition for Digital Asset Management, Content Management Systems, Workflow Systems (Airtable, Workfront) and other creative tooling platforms not specifically named.
- Design and document enterprise workflows that improve efficiency, governance, content reuse, and global scalability.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, metadata structures, and workflow requirements that enable automation and streamlined content operations.
- Identify and drive process optimization opportunities that improve speed-to-market and creative effectiveness.
- Serve as functional or release train lead for assigned initiatives, owning backlog prioritization and business alignment.
- Lead discovery sessions and workshops to assess current-state operations and design future-state enterprise workflows.
- Translate strategic transformation goals into actionable product roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
- Champion organizational change management, including documentation, playbooks, training support, and adoption tracking.
- Ensure enterprise governance, compliance, and scalability considerations are incorporated into solution design.
- Manage and maintain product backlogs in alignment with Agile/SAFe practices.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including UX, engineering, QA, DevOps, and external partners.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet creative and business requirements.
- Ensure compliance with PMO, Security, Legal, and Data Privacy standards.
- Partner with Client Services and support teams to ensure operational continuity post-launch.
- Act as the primary liaison between IT and assigned creative and business stakeholders.
- Provide consultative guidance on emerging content technologies and workflow improvements.
- Build trusted relationships that enable prioritization decisions aligned to business value and capacity.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, or related digital platform roles.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise-level workflows and business process transformations.
- Experience supporting creative teams, marketing organizations, or content production environments.
- Strong expertise in requirements definition, user story development, and backlog ownership within Agile/SAFe frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise digital content ecosystems including DAM, CMS, and workflow automation platforms.
- Proven ability to lead initiatives independently as a functional or release lead.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and executive stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Microsoft Office, and process modeling tools.
- Experience with Adobe platforms, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), or related Adobe content ecosystem tools.
- Experience defining metadata strategies, taxonomy models, and content governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of web analytics platforms.
- Experience supporting cloud-based environments
- Background in media, entertainment, consumer brands, or global content operations.
- The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
