Working hours Full time 37 hours per week (flexible working arrangements including part time will be considered)

Permanent

Salary from £34,085 to £40,100 per year (depending on experience)

Location hybrid working with office location at Washington, Tyne and Wear

We're looking for a Performance and Reporting Analyst to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality management information, reporting, and analytics that support operational and strategic decision-making across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical thinker who enjoys working with data, challenging the status quo, and developing innovative reporting solutions that drive performance improvements.

About The Role

As our Performance and Reporting Analyst, you'll work closely with the Planning and Performance Manager to ensure the monthly Performance and Reporting cycle runs smoothly and efficiently.

You'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving our reporting suite using Power BI and other reporting tools, ensuring management information is accurate, insightful, and delivered on time. You'll help create a single version of the truth by consolidating data from multiple sources, identifying trends, and providing visibility of performance across projects and portfolios.

You will provide robust data validation across key performance metrics including schedule, financial, risk and portfolio reporting. You will identify emerging performance trends, risks, and opportunities, and work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to ensure consistent reporting standards and clear performance commentary. You will simplify complex data and translate it into clear, engaging insights that can be understood by both technical and non-technical audiences.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. You will have experience within a reporting, analytics, or performance management environment, and experience analysing, presenting, and confidently discussing performance metrics, trends, risks, and opportunities.

You will have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong Power BI experience including dashboard creation and data visualisation, SQL, Power Query and Power Automate. You will also have strong validation and quality assurance skills.

You can interpret large and complex datasets and turn them into meaningful business insights. You have a commercially minded approach, with the ability to recognise business risks and opportunities and provide informed recommendations.
