Technologist – Post Trade Operations

Location: New York (Hybrid)

A leading global financial markets organisation is looking for an experienced Technologist – Post Trade Operations to join its growing Technology team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in post-trade operations, capital markets technology and business analysis to play a key role in delivering strategic technology change across a global trading business.

What you'll be doing

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and define technology solutions.
• Lead requirements gathering, process mapping and solution design for post-trade change initiatives.
• Drive projects from concept through to implementation, working closely with development teams and third-party vendors.
• Improve trade processing, clearing, settlement, reconciliations, collateral and regulatory reporting platforms.
• Create user stories, epics and acceptance criteria to support Agile delivery.
• Coordinate testing, UAT and production implementation.
• Help shape the long-term technology roadmap for post-trade operations.
• Work with global teams across Technology, Operations, Compliance and Product.

They're looking for someone with

• Strong experience within Capital Markets, Investment Banking or Broker Dealer environments.
• Deep understanding of the post-trade lifecycle, including:
• Trade confirmation
• Allocations
• Clearing
• Settlement
• Reconciliations
• Collateral & Margin
• Exception management
• Experience delivering technology change across post-trade operations.
• Excellent Business Analysis skills including requirements gathering, stakeholder management and process mapping.
• Experience working with Agile delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, controls and regulatory environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting Listed Derivatives, OTC products or commodities.
• Knowledge of clearing brokers, CCPs, custodians or collateral platforms.
• Exposure to regulatory reporting and operational controls.
• SQL or technical data analysis experience.
