SecOps & Compliance Business Analyst

Summary

Our client is seeking a SecOps & Compliance Business Analyst to support their Security Operations & Compliance function, serving as the Technical Product Owner between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. This role will focus on data loss prevention, security awareness rollout, and compliance documentation across global regions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) initiatives, working with business and data owners to classify data ahead of technical implementation.
• Translate data classification and business requirements into specifications for technical engineering teams.
• Support security awareness program rollout and coordination across APAC and EMEA.
• Build documentation for HITRUST v11 Compliance preparation including control-to-evidence packs.
• Create user stories, capture business requirements, and facilitate UAT for aligned solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and product owners to convey functional needs to technical teams.
• Facilitate discovery and intake for smaller project requests.
• Coordinate with global teams across multiple time zones.

Requirements

• Experience as a Business Analyst supporting security, compliance, or IT governance initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience facilitating UAT and creating functional/system documentation.
• Comfortable working flexible hours to coordinate with global teams.
• Demonstrated experience successfully utilizing a team-oriented, collaborative approach.

Preferred

• Experience with DLP tools or programs.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks including HITRUST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or NYDFS.
• Experience supporting security awareness training programs.
• Background in Identity & Access Management (IAM).
• Experience with Azure DevOps (or similar tools including Jira).

This is a 12-month Contract opportunity with extensions with our Kansas City, MO client.
