Job Purpose:

We are seeking a Settlement Technical Business Analyst with strong experience in Indian financial markets to support our technology team on a strategic migration project in the context of a joint venture. This role acts as the key bridge between India-based settlement analysts, project management, development teams, and application support, ensuring robust requirements capture, seamless delivery, and a well-managed transition to BAU operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements & Documentation

• Work closely with India-based settlement analysts and managers to elicit, analyze and document system requirements with precision and clarity. • Translate user requirements into clearly defined work items for the development team, ensuring accurate scope and maintained priority alignment. Migration Project Support

• Support a system-to-system migration project within a joint-venture context, contributing to planning, gap analysis and cutover activities. • Partner with the Project Manager to provide regular project updates, and to surface and track risks, challenges, and opportunities in a timely manner. Testing & Quality Assurance

• Support testing phases by authoring comprehensive test cases, coordinating test execution, and ensuring the availability and readiness of technical environments. • Track and manage defects, facilitate UAT sign-off, and ensure testing outcomes are clearly documented.

BAU Transition & Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with application support teams to plan and execute a smooth transition from project delivery to Business-as-Usual operations. • Facilitate communication across geographically distributed teams, ensuring consistent understanding of project goals and timelines.

Backlog & Priority Management

• Manage and maintain the Jira backlog in collaboration with developers and the project manager, ensuring work items are well-defined, estimated, and appropriately prioritized. Proactively identify blockers, dependencies and delivery risks, escalating where necessary to keep the project on track.

Tech qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proficient in Agile methodology and comfortable working at pace in a fast moving project environment.

Comfortable with change management and able to guide stakeholders through periods of transformation. • Good understanding of major Indian market payment and settlement mechanisms (e.g. RTGS, NEFT, NACH, SEBI / CCIL frameworks). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present clearly to both technical and business audiences; proficient in leveraging AI tools where relevant to improve productivity and output quality. • Proficiency in Jira and task management best practices, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and reporting. • Strong analytical ability and structured approach to problem-solving and root cause analysis. • Understanding commodities markets (energy, metals, agricultural products) is a plus.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience in a settlement or post-trade operations context within financial services or commodity trading, ideally with exposure to Indian market infrastructure. • Experience in system migration or integration projects, with an understanding of data mapping, cutover strategies and parallel-run testing. • Familiarity with commodities markets (energy, metals, agricultural products) and associated settlement workflows.
