We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team. In this position, you will serve as a vital link between business needs and technical solutions throughout the software development lifecycle. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you will help drive high-quality delivery and thorough validation of business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Grasp and adjust to the working process based on the software development lifecycle applied in the project, whether Waterfall, Agile, or RUP
  • Review and interpret input documents such as use cases and functional specifications tied to the selected software development lifecycle
  • Detect and record functional gaps within input documentation, including use cases, requirements, and functional specifications
  • Construct a test matrix to guarantee complete traceability between requirements and test coverage
  • Determine relevant test scenarios aligned with the project's functional scope
  • Prepare test cases for specific features and project deliverables
  • Run test cases within the timelines and cycles established by the project
  • Report defects without delay, document them following project standards, and monitor them through to resolution
  • Recommend enhancements to functional testing processes based on findings and observations
  • Communicate test metrics to provide clear insight into quality and project progress

Requirements

  • No less than 3 years of applicable professional experience in business analysis or a related field
  • Capability to grasp and adapt to the working process according to the software development lifecycle in use
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting input documents such as use cases and functional specifications
  • Background in identifying and documenting functional gaps in input materials, including use cases, requirements, and functional specifications
  • Skill in constructing a test matrix to maintain traceability between requirements and testing activities
  • Ability to determine test scenarios and craft corresponding test cases for specific features
  • Practical experience running test cases within project-defined cycles
  • Competence in reporting defects, detailing them thoroughly, and tracking them until resolved
  • Ability to propose improvements to functional testing processes to boost quality and efficiency
  • Experience reporting test metrics to communicate project quality and status
  • Practical experience with Jira for task tracking, backlog management, and defect reporting
  • Proficient English skills, both written and spoken, at a B2+ level or higher

Nice to have

  • Awareness of Agile methodologies for iterative and collaborative software delivery
  • Background in the IBM Rational Unified Process (RUP) for structured, phase-based development
  • Understanding of the Waterfall methodology for sequential and plan-driven project execution
