Plex Business Systems Analyst / Project Manager (ERP & Manufacturing Systems)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst / Project Manager to support the ongoing optimization and enhancement of our Plex ERP environment within a manufacturing organization. This individual will serve as the bridge between business operations and technology, partnering with stakeholders across production, operations, quality, and leadership teams to improve system utilization, streamline manufacturing processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will combine strong ERP experience, manufacturing process knowledge, and project management skills to assess current workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and user adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes and ERP configurations to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to translate operational requirements into system solutions.
• Lead ERP-related projects, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives from planning through execution.
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing workflows, process automation, and system functionality.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, control panels, KPIs, and reporting tools that support operational decision-making.
• Collaborate with department leaders to establish standardized work procedures, checklists, and best practices.
• Assess tooling, production resources, and system processes to improve operational visibility and performance.
• Facilitate process mapping sessions and document current-state and future-state business processes.
• Support change management efforts, user training, and adoption of ERP best practices across the organization.
• Monitor project timelines, risks, deliverables, and stakeholder communications to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Provide recommendations for ERP configuration improvements aligned with manufacturing industry best practices.
• Partner with leadership to create a roadmap for ongoing system enhancements and operational improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, ERP Analyst, Project Manager, or related role.
• Experience supporting ERP systems within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production workflows, inventory management, and process improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and recommend technology-driven solutions.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing competing priorities.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to create process documentation, workflow diagrams, and business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Plex ERP or similar manufacturing ERP platforms.
• Background in discrete manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
• Experience with workflow automation, dashboard development, and operational reporting.
• Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent) is a plus.
