About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our delivery team in Melbourne.

This role supports the definition of business requirements, helps ensure solutions meet stakeholder expectations, and contributes to releases being delivered to a high standard of quality.

You will work closely with clients, product teams, project managers, and developers to help translate requirements into functional specifications and validate delivered solutions against acceptance criteria through structured testing and quality checks.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working as a business analyst and contributing to successful software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

• Work with clients and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements.
• Support and facilitate workshops and requirement discovery sessions.
• Translate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Document workflows, system interactions, and data requirements.
• Assist with maintaining requirement traceability throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Support backlog refinement and sprint planning within Agile delivery environments.

Release Readiness & Validation

• Review release notes to support accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with pre-release quality checks prior to handover to stakeholders or clients for testing.
• Confirm delivered functionality aligns with documented requirements.
• Support the preparation of release packages for production deployment.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with product owners, developers, and project managers to clarify requirements.
• Provide ongoing requirement clarification during development cycles.
• Participate in sprint reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
• Support clear communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Prepare and maintain clear documentation including:
• Solution Design Documentation
• User stories
• Process diagrams
• Contribute to continuous improvements in BA processes.
• Support best practices in requirements management, testing, and release quality.

Skills & Competencies

• Solid business analysis and requirements gathering skills
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and process diagrams
• Good analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and business teams
• experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms is desirable.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Demonstrated experience writing functional requirements and documentation
• Experience in software product or system implementation projects

Experience in HealthTech or digital health systems is required.
