Parts Development Specialist
Tessenderlo, Belgium | Hybrid working | Aftermarket & Parts
At HD Construction Equipment Hyundai Europe NV we focus on the sales, marketing and after-sales service of Construction Equipment (excavators and wheel loaders) and Material Handling Equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, etc.) in Europe.
We have more than 100 dealers in 30 countries in Europe, selling our world-class machines and parts to their customers.
In total we have around 140 employees in Europe and we are looking a motivated new colleague to join our team in a role as an Aftermarket (Parts) Development Specialist.
Parts may sit behind the scenes, but they are essential to every machine’s performance, uptime and customer experience.
As our new Parts Development Specialist, you will help shape and strengthen our European parts business. You will ensure that the right parts are available, correctly priced and commercially ready when new machines enter the market. At the same time, you will identify opportunities to improve the performance of existing product groups.
This is a newly created position with real visibility, ownership and room to make decisions. You will combine data analysis with hands-on execution, turning insights into practical actions that improve availability, sales and profitability.
What will you be doing?
- During your first year, your main priority will be ensuring parts readiness for several new equipment ranges and model revisions.
- You will lead the process from end to end: determining which service and wear parts should be stocked based on machine sales forecasts, ensuring pricing and margins are correctly set up, and coordinating the availability of parts manuals and master data.
- As there is no simple plug-and-play calculation model, we are looking for someone who enjoys building structure, challenging assumptions and creating a reliable approach.
- You will act as the connecting point between engineering, procurement, logistics, product management and aftermarket sales. You will identify risks related to availability, cost or timing and drive the actions needed to keep launches on track.
- Alongside launch readiness, you will analyse the performance of existing parts categories. You will examine sales, margins, volumes, product mix and lifecycle relevance, and translate your findings into corrective actions. These could include alternative sourcing, improved purchasing conditions, portfolio adjustments, price repositioning or targeted dealer campaigns.
- You will also develop business cases, dashboards and performance models that support decision-making across the European organisation.
What is in it for you?
This is not a role in which you simply maintain an existing process. You will have the opportunity to build, improve and professionalise the way parts readiness and performance management are approached.
You can expect:
- A newly created role with considerable autonomy and influence
- The opportunity to make a visible impact on major new machine launches
- Direct exposure to European aftermarket performance and P&L priorities
- Collaboration with international colleagues, suppliers and sourcing teams, including teams in Korea
- A broad position combining pricing, sourcing, product management, analytics and commercial activation
- The freedom to turn your ideas into concrete actions rather than reports that disappear into a drawer
- A hybrid working model, with three days per week at our office in Tessenderlo
- An international environment where English is the main working language
- The chance to become a key expert in a parts business that is central to our customers’ success
In other words: you will not just analyse the numbers. You will help move them.
Are you the colleague we are looking for?
- You hold a bachelor’s degree and bring approximately five to seven years of relevant experience in parts, aftermarket, product management or portfolio management.
- Your background may come from construction equipment, automotive, trucks, agriculture, industrial machinery or the independent aftermarket. Experience gained within organisations such as parts distributors, wholesalers, OEMs or specialist aftermarket suppliers would be highly relevant.
- You have solid experience in pricing, margin management, market analysis and product-group performance. You understand how parts businesses work, from lifecycle management and sourcing to stock decisions and dealer activation.
- Advanced Excel skills are important, as you will work with large data sets, margin calculations, pricing scenarios and forecasting models. Just as importantly, you know how to turn analysis into a clear recommendation and a realistic execution plan.
- You are structured, proactive and commercially minded. You communicate complex topics in a convincing and accessible way and feel comfortable working with stakeholders across departments and countries.
- Fluency in English is essential. French, German, Italian or another European language is a strong advantage.
