Summary

The Workday Functional Analyst I supports the administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Workday functional areas with a primary focus on Supply Chain Management (SCM), Procurement, and Supplier Contracts, with secondary exposure to Scheduling.

This role partners with business stakeholders and IT team members to support day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues, assist with configuration changes, and contribute to system enhancements. The position is designed for an early-career analyst developing functional expertise in procurement and supply chain processes within Workday.

Duties and Functions

  • Provide day-to-day functional support for Workday modules including:
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM)
  • Procurement
  • Supplier Management and Supplier Contracts
  • Requisitions, purchase orders, and related workflows
  • Scheduling (as applicable)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, working with users to identify root causes and implement solutions
  • Assist with configuration updates to procurement-related business processes and approval workflows
  • Support system testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Partner with senior analysts and stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional solutions
  • Maintain and update documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Support release management activities, including regression testing and production validation
  • Participate in the intake and prioritization of enhancement requests and support tickets
  • Assist with reporting needs and data validation efforts related to procurement and supplier data
  • Provide end-user support, guidance, and training as needed

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of experience supporting Workday or a comparable ERP system in a functional or business analyst capacity

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with Workday Procurement, SCM, and Supplier Contracts
  • Exposure to Scheduling or workforce scheduling processes
  • Experience supporting business process configuration and testing
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, change management processes, and production support environments
  • Experience working in a services, staffing, healthcare, or operationally complex environment

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)

Knowledge

  • Understanding of procurement and supply chain business processes
  • Familiarity with Workday functional framework and business process configuration
  • Basic understanding of integration touchpoints between procurement, finance, and operations

Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to document requirements, processes, and system configurations
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to support testing efforts and validate system functionality

Abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple support tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn new Workday modules and business processes quickly
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across IT and business teams
  • Ability to deliver reliable support while developing deeper functional expertise

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment/Condition

  • Primarily a remote/office-based role
  • Work is performed in a standard business environment with normal lighting, temperature, and minimal noise
  • Frequent interaction with business users, IT teams, and leadership stakeholders

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
  • Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Pay Rate: Starting at $85,000
