Job Summary
- The Commercial Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting business data to drive strategic decision-making and improve commercial performance.
- The role involves gathering, processing, and visualizing data to identify trends, evaluate market opportunities, and support sales, pricing, and marketing initiatives.
- Analyze sales, market, and financial data to identify trends and business opportunities.
- Create and maintain all existing commercial dashboards and reports for key stakeholders.
- Conduct post-campaign analysis to measure the effectiveness of commercial strategies.
- Daily and weekly updates, as agreed, to be shared with relevant stakeholders (as the need arises).
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences (Distributors & Retailers).
- Provide insights to support strategic planning and market positioning.
- Support the Demand Planner on market research updates.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness in reporting systems.
- Work with IT and data teams to enhance data collection and management processes.
- Ensure that all commercial data folders are up to date and properly categorized and cataloged.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, and Finance teams to align data insights with business goals.
- Present findings and recommendations to the commercial leadership team promptly.
- Stay current with industry best practices, technological advancements, and data analysis techniques while proactively identifying opportunities to enhance processes and methodologies.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline reporting and analytical processes.
- Develop models to forecast sales and market trends.
- Support with data, analysis, and presentation requests for every member of the commercial team as the need arises.
- Be ready to carry out any other request as directed by the Head of Unit.
- Timely delivery of clean datasets for forecasting.
- Reliable tracking of forecast accuracy.
- High-quality insights supporting S&OP.
- Compliance with company policies, data governance, and ethics.
- Support continuous improvement of forecasting processes.
- Knowledge of the high level of reporting needed to provide data and capture big-picture objectives.
- Work closely with the IT department in building a pertinent data structure for the dashboard and reporting.
- Sound knowledge of market dynamics, consumer behavior, product, and competition.
- Expertise with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Analytical skills.
- 5 years in an analytical role.
- Multi-sector and/or multi-industry experience will be an added advantage.
- Understands what’s behind automation and entails building and reporting aspects of analytics.
- Ability to help move forward and lead the Data Analyst metrics for Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives.
- LOGON, QLIKVIEW, SAP, and other ERP reports for generating insights.
