Role Summary

As BA, you'll own requirement discovery and documentation across SmartWheels' multi-product line from hardware based telematics to hardware less IOT solutions. You'll write and refine user stories for frontend, backend and web workstreams, run sprint ceremonies alongside the Scrum Master/PM, and act as the day-to-day bridge between business stakeholders, customers, and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders, customers, and support/sales teams across all product lines

• Write clear, well-structured user stories and acceptance criteria for frontend, backend, and web features; maintain the product backlog in Jira.

• Break down epics into sprint-ready stories; support sprint planning, estimation, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint review, and retrospectives.

• Create and maintain process flows, wireframe annotations, and functional specs (BRDs/FRDs) for new features and integrations.

• Work closely with engineering to clarify requirements, unblock ambiguity mid-sprint, and validate delivered features against acceptance criteria (UAT).

• Coordinate with QA on test scenarios and with software/hardware teams where features depend on device behaviour

• Track dependencies, risks, and scope changes across concurrent product lines; flag conflicts early to the PM/leadership.

• Analyze usage data and support tickets. Prepare release notes, documentation and internal training material for support and sales teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software product company; SaaS, IoT, telematics, or fleet/GPS tracking domain strongly preferred.

• Proven track record writing user stories and acceptance criteria for frontend, backend, and web platforms.

• Hands-on expertise with Jira for backlog management, sprint boards, and reporting; comfortable configuring workflows and epics/stories/subtasks.

• Experience in actively running Agile/Scrum – sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives.

• Enough technical fluency to read API/data specs, understand device-to-cloud data flow and hold your own in engineering discussions – no coding required.

• Strong written and verbal communication; Should be comfortable to work in fast paced culture ,able to work directly with US-based stakeholders and adjust for time-zone overlap.

• Experience with wireframing tools (Figma, Miro, Lucidchart, or similar) and documentation tools (Confluence or equivalent).

• Analytical mindset with basic data skills (Excel/SQL) to validate assumptions and support decisions.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or related field.

Good to Have

• Prior experience with GPS/telematics, IoT hardware products, or fleet management software.

• Exposure to mobile app (iOS/Android) requirement writing in addition to web.

• CBAP, PSPO, or CSPO certification.

• Preparing PowerBI or tableau dashboards & analytics Work Location & Hours

• Based out of Hyderabad, India; 5 days a week from office.

• Some overlap with US working hours expected for stakeholder syncs.
