1. Job Summary
This role serves as the bridge between business finance functions and IT delivery teams, responsible for requirements elicitation, process analysis, solution design, and requirements prioritization for finance-related IT initiatives across Greater China.
The primary focus is on ERP finance modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, Banking Interfaces) and broader finance transformation programs. In addition, this role owns end-to-end business requirements management: from intake and analysis to prioritization and handoff to delivery teams.
The Business Analyst will drive alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensure solution design meets operational needs, and support end-to-end project delivery from blueprint through go-live and hypercare stabilization.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Business Requirements Management (Core Function)
Own the business requirements management process for finance IT initiatives:
- Intake — Receive, register, and acknowledge requirements from business stakeholders across all legal entities in Greater China.
- Analysis — Conduct workshops, interviews, and current-state assessments to capture as-is processes and define to-be requirements.
- Documentation — Document functional and non-functional requirements in structured formats (use cases, process maps, BRDs, functional specs) with clear acceptance criteria.
- Prioritization — Support business stakeholders in scoring and ranking requirements based on business value, regulatory impact, complexity, and resource constraints; assist the GC IT Application Director in informed prioritization decisions.
- Tracking — Maintain requirements traceability matrix (RTM) throughout the project lifecycle; track status, changes, and acceptance sign-off.
B. Process Mapping & Optimization
- Perform end-to-end process mapping across finance workflows: model P2P (Procure-to-Pay), O2C (Order-to-Cash), R2R (Record-to-Report) cycles using BPMN 2.0 standard.
- Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and system integration points across entities.
- Analyze financial data flows; identify consolidation requirements, intercompany eliminations, and multi-currency considerations across Mainland China, HK, and Taiwan.
C. Solution Design & Functional Leadership
Translate business requirements into functional specifications for ERP configurations and custom developments, with primary focus on:
- Kingdee K3 Cloud / 星空旗舰版 — Finance modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, Cost Center/Profit Center, Banking Interfaces.
- Intercompany transaction processing and reconciliation.
- Financial reporting (management reporting, statutory reporting, consolidation structures).
Partner with Solution Architects and ERP functional consultants; conduct fit-gap analysis and propose workarounds or enhancement specifications.
D. Project Coordination & Delivery Support
- Coordinate cross-functional alignment between Finance, IT, and external vendors across all project phases (blueprint, build, testing, go-live).
- Facilitate UAT planning, test scenario design, and test execution support for finance-related workstreams.
- Support cutover planning: data migration readiness, opening balance validation, period-end close alignment.
- Track and report on workstream progress, risks, and blockers to the GC IT Application Director or Program Manager.
E. Stakeholder Management & Change Enablement
- Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for finance business users during project execution.
- Manage expectations of finance stakeholders — from FCs and controllers to shared services teams.
- Develop and deliver user training materials, process documentation, and job aids to support adoption.
- Act as first-line hypercare support during stabilization.
F. Vendor & External Partner Coordination
- Coordinate with implementation partners, external consultants, and system integrators to ensure delivery alignment.
- Review vendor deliverables against acceptance criteria.
3. Qualifications
Must-have
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or IT Analyst in a finance-related domain.
- Hands-on experience with Kingdee K3 Cloud / 星空旗舰版 (Finance modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, Cost Center/Profit Center, Banking Interfaces).
- Proven ERP finance module experience: General Ledger, AP/AR, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, Banking Interface.
- Strong process mapping skills: experience using Visio, Bizagi, Miro, or equivalent BPMN/UML tools.
- Exposure to RPA (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) for finance process automation.
- Demonstrated ability to elicit, document, and communicate requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in business requirements management and prioritization frameworks (e.g., MoSCoW, Kano, RICE).
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills in a matrix environment.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese; competent in business English for written and verbal communication with regional/global stakeholders.
Nice-to-have
- PMP, CBAP, or PRINCE2 certification.
- Experience supporting multi-entity, multi-currency ERP rollouts across Greater China.
- Prior experience in shared services or shared services center environment.
