The Business Analyst (Japanese Speaking) acts as a strategic liaison between business challenges and technology solutions. This role is responsible for analyzing business needs, defining requirements, and proposing optimal solutions to ensure successful delivery of projects aligned with organizational goals.
You will collaborate with both business and IT stakeholders to understand processes, design functional flows, and ensure quality outcomes from concept through post-deployment.
1/ Key responsibilities:
- Act as a bridge between business problems and technology solutions.
- Analyze business needs and project strategies to propose optimal solutions.
- Document requirements using industry-standard formats (BRD, SRS, FRS) and create diagrams such as product roadmaps and functional flows.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to build business processes, data structures, and ensure deliverables meet initial specifications.
- Report progress and issues to management (Leader, PO) and escalate when necessary.
- Assist in resolving service-related issues and adhere to development and support processes.
- Ensure concepts are developed and managed from inception through post-deployment.

2/ To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- Advanced understanding of business practices and processes.
- Excellent teamwork and client service orientation with strong organizational skills.
- 3+ years of experience in roles such as Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Systems Analyst, Project Leader, or Project Manager.
- Strong knowledge of requirement documentation (BRD, SRS, FRS) and diagramming (roadmaps, organizational charts).
- Ability to work proactively in ambiguous situations and collaborate across departments.
- Must: Native/fluent Japanese (equivalent to N2 level) and proficiency in English for speaking, writing, and presenting.
- Prefer: Experience in Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, Retail (FMCG, QSR, supermarkets, e-commerce), or related industries.
- Prefer: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps.
- Prefer: Experience living or working in Japan.
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field.
- Certifications in Business Analysis or Project Management are a plus.

Work Schedule:
- Hybrid working mode.
- Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 17:00.
- Flexible start hours between 7:45 AM and 9:00 AM with manager approval.
