Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst, you take ownership of requirement analysis and work independently across projects. You will apply best practices from past experience to deliver clear requirements and help the team stay aligned with business goals. You are expected to understand the full picture of how systems work and support junior BAs by sharing knowledge and guiding their work. This role suits those with 3-5 years of experience and strong understanding of at least one business domain.
- Collaborate with clients to elicit, gather, and clarify business and stakeholder requirements and provide solution recommendations based on system understanding and project context
- Communicate requirements effectively to offshore teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment.
- Analyze and structure solution requirements into functional and non-functional deliverables such as System Requirement Specifications for RUP projects or detailed product backlogs for Agile engagements.
- Prepare and maintain functional deliverables such as user stories/use case descriptions, process diagram flows, and basic wireframes or mockups to support requirement communication.
- Review test flows and requirements coverage to ensure completeness and alignment with business needs.
- Understand the full system behavior and end-to-end business processes; analyze and reverse-engineer existing systems to identify dependencies, risks, and describe them clearly in requirement specifications for the project team
- Manage and track requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring traceability and alignment with defined scope from analysis to final sign-off
- Share knowledge and guide junior BAs through direct feedback, document reviews, and practical coaching
- Contribute to proposal and bidding activities, including early-stage analysis, scope definition, and solution suggestion, especially in domains where you have relevant experience
- Leverage AI-powered tools to automate BA related activities/tasks, when required
Qualifications
- Good English communication skills and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken for stakeholder engagement tasks.
- Proactively applies AI-augmented tools to improve the quality and efficiency of BA deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Intelligence, or a related field, a Master degree is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a similar IT role.
- Solid understanding of software development processes and how different delivery models work.
- Familiarity with different types of requirement documentation (e.g., BRD, FRD, SRS, use cases, epics, themes, user stories, acceptance criteria) and capable of defining Definition of Ready and Definition of Done from a requirement perspective.
- Proficient in business analysis tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Figma, Visio, Camunda, or similar tools.
- Hands-on experience with technical tasks such as writing SQL queries, reviewing API specifications, and understanding system behavior, including basic cloud or integration architecture in real project environments.
- Solid understanding of development and testing fundamentals, including basic programming concepts and common testing approaches and techniques used throughout the software lifecycle
- Proactive and can-do attitude with the ability to work effectively across different project types, business domains, and cross-functional teams
- Experience supporting proposal or bidding activities as part of professional growth.
- Strong understanding of business processes with hands-on experience in at least one specific domain (such as insurance, fintech, logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, or education); open to learning and adapting to various business models and industries
- Professional certifications (IIBA-CBAP, PMP-PBA, IIBA-CPOA) are highly valued.
- Willingness to travel abroad for a short period; a valid passport must be ready and available.
