  • Strategic Leadership & Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Define and standardize business analysis methodologies, requirements gathering processes, and documentation standards across the investment technology portfolio.
  • Partner with senior technology and business stakeholders to shape the technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with key business objectives.
  • Manage resource allocation, prioritize BA workload, and ensure high-quality support for critical projects.
  • Investment Domain Analysis:
  • Elicit, analyze, and translate complex business needs from investment professionals into clear, concise, and actionable functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the investment process, including research, modeling, portfolio construction, trading, risk management, and performance attribution.
  • Analyze and model business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and automation through technology.
  • Act as the primary subject matter expert on investment-related workflows and systems for the technology team.
  • Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders (Front Office, Middle Office) and software engineering teams (Agile/Scrum).
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, workshops with senior business users.
  • Oversee the entire requirements lifecycle, from inception to implementation, including validation and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Ensure solutions meet business needs and are delivered on time and within scope. Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team management role.
  • Proven experience working within the investment management industry (e.g., asset management, hedge fund, private equity).
  • In-depth knowledge of investment concepts and front-office workflows (e.g., equities, fixed income, derivatives, quantitative analysis, portfolio management).
  • Strong experience with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) and modeling techniques (UML, BPMN).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects in a fast-paced environment. Highly Desirable (Nice-to-Haves):
  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation or progress towards the charter is a significant plus.
  • Master's degree in Finance or Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience with investment management platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River IMS) and data providers (e.g., FactSet, MSCI).
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and data analysis concepts.
