The Business Analyst (BA) acts as an agent of change and the primary bridge between Line of Business (LOB), technology teams, and third‑party vendors (Envestnet, Pershing). The BA is accountable for defining, validating, and managing program‑level requirements that guide design, development, testing, and adoption across the Envestnet program.
This role requires strong domain knowledge in wealth management operations, complex account structures, and data‑driven integrations, along with the ability to navigate ambiguity and evolving requirements across iterative releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document functional and non‑functional program requirements across front-to-back-office processes (proposals, portfolio management, billing, reporting, and advisor workflows).
- Translate business problem statements into clear, consumable requirements for technology teams.
- Perform current‑state vs. future‑state gap analysis to ensure no critical advisor or client capabilities regress in the Envestnet platform; clear documentation of current vs future state
- Own and maintain requirements throughout the SDLC
- Core BA competency; Proven experience in gap analysis, business requirement documentation, and process flow creation.
- Strong multitasking, problem-solving skills, and a self-starter mindset to handle ambiguity.
- Expertise in the wealth domain, with knowledge of any related product or system.
- Agile experience, including using tools like Jira to manage user stories.
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with wealth management products such as Pershing (NetX, NetXInvestor), FIS (Global Plus, Global Office), MoneyGuidePro, eMoney, or Envestnet.
- SQL proficiency to read and write queries and perform data mapping.
