Purpose / Summary

A Quoting and Price Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional support to both internal and external customers through comprehensive knowledge of company products, pricing strategies, and organizational processes. Responsible for preparing accurate and timely customer quotations by establishing and maintaining cost and pricing matrices that ensure consistency and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing complex price quotations by performing analysis of cost information, competitive pricing and profitability;
• Keeping accurate and up-to-date records on pricing and quotes, including rationale for pricing decisions and discounts;
• Providing guidance to sales and product management and assuring pricing guidelines and standards are adhered to, in all quotes submitted to the customer;
• Developing relationships with selected clients and prospects by accurate needs identification and solution positioning, and ensuring customer satisfaction with the service being performed;
• Designing and developing relational database for improving analysis efficiency and reporting;
• Cleaning, validating and transforming data to charts, graphs and tables used for understanding and decision-making purposes by senior management;
• Analyzing data and proposing solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in sales; a strong technical background is considered an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Business Objects is an asset.
• Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to extract, interpret, and transform data from multiple systems into meaningful reports for various organizational levels.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities, with proven capacity to manage multiple tasks and projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
• Personal competencies: detail-oriented, adaptable, trustworthy, self-motivated, well-organized, responsible, and skilled in both written and verbal communication, as well as time management.
• Technical competencies: knowledge of Lotus Notes, ETBF, Quoting Assistant, knowledge transfer processes, and strong commercial awareness.
