- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience operating at an Accounting Manager level or in an equivalent hands-on leadership role.
- Proven experience personally owning and executing the complete monthly close process.
- Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.
- Practical experience with ADP, payroll accounting, payroll tax reconciliations, and payroll-related journal entries.
- Direct experience managing or supporting multi-state payroll compliance and state registrations in the United States.
- Direct experience coordinating US corporate tax filings with an external tax firm and supporting a complete external financial audit.
- Strong knowledge of journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and financial statement preparation.
- C1 English level or higher, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with US GAAP, Financial Auditing.

Projects
This hands-on role takes full ownership of day-to-day US accounting operations, monthly close cycles, payroll accounting, and compliance. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will bring structure and accuracy to an evolving financial operation. You will act as the primary interface for external tax and audit firms, ensuring all financial information is precise, deadlines are met, and accounting issues are resolved proactively. By managing the end-to-end accounting process, you will directly support leadership with reliable financial reporting, clean audit trails, and robust multi-state payroll compliance. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior accounting professional to establish effective controls and drive process improvements in a dynamic, fully remote environment.Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the complete end-to-end monthly close process, targeting completion within ten business days.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger activity, and monthly financial statements in QuickBooks Online.
- Manage payroll accounting, reconciliations, and multi-state payroll compliance using ADP.
- Coordinate annual US corporate tax filings and external audits by preparing schedules, managing PBC requests, and providing supporting documentation.
- Support quarterly investor and board reporting by ensuring underlying accounting information is accurate and properly reconciled.
- Manage accounts payable, expense reporting, payment approvals, and related internal accounting controls.
