The opportunity
At Hitachi Energy, you help colleagues stay connected, productive, and secure every day. As an Onsite IT Support Specialist, you are the local face of IT for our sites in Jumet and Zaventem, ensuring a reliable and high-quality technology experience for office and industrial users.
In this role, you combine hands-on technical support with user assistance, asset management, and site coordination. You work closely with local teams while collaborating with regional and global IT colleagues across Europe. You enjoy solving problems, supporting users, and improving IT services in a dynamic international environment.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of technologies, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and build strong relationships across the business. Regular travel between Jumet and Zaventem is required, with occasional travel to France and the Netherlands.
How you'll make an impact
- You provide onsite IT support for users in Jumet and Zaventem across office and industrial environments.
- You troubleshoot Windows devices, Microsoft 365 applications, printers, peripherals, connectivity, and workplace technology.
- You support meeting rooms, collaboration tools, audiovisual equipment, and shared workplace services.
- You manage IT assets, maintain inventory records, and ensure CMDB information remains accurate.
- You coordinate IT logistics, including equipment deployment, transfers, returns, and lifecycle activities.
- You support onboarding and offboarding activities by preparing devices and workplace equipment.
- You work with vendors and external technicians to resolve hardware and warranty-related issues.
- You identify service improvement opportunities and ensure consistent adherence to IT processes and procedures.
Your background
- You have experience in IT support, field services, deskside support, or a similar role.
- You have strong troubleshooting skills in Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, peripherals, and basic networking.
- You have experience with IT asset management, inventories, logistics coordination, or CMDB administration.
- You are comfortable working independently across multiple locations and managing priorities.
- You communicate fluently in French and English and enjoy supporting end users.
- You hold a valid driving license and are willing to travel regularly between sites.
