- The Business Analyst is responsible for driving operational efficiency and strategic decision-making through data-driven insights and process optimization. This role leads the development and implementation of process analytics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business process management methodologies. Acting as a central liaison between operations, project management, technology services, architecture, and data teams, the Business Analyst applies a blend of business acumen and analytical expertise to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control business processes (DMAIC). This position plays a critical role in managing change and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Conduct root cause analyses and collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective solutions.
- Design and refine scalable business processes using data insights and best practices.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights across the organization.
- Lead and facilitate process mapping, value stream mapping, and problem-solving workshops.
- Define and track KPIs aligned with operational, tactical, and strategic goals.
- Integrate new analytical tools and methodologies into business processes and ensure adoption.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings to gather requirements, assess risks, and implement solutions.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust optimization strategies based on performance metrics and feedback.
- Coach and train team members on analytical tools, methodologies, and process improvement techniques.
Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- 4–10 years of relevant experience required.
- 5+ years of experience in business process analysis strongly preferred. Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong background in process analysis, lifecycle methodologies, and process improvement techniques.
- Advanced knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
- Experience developing governance documentation (e.g., policies, charters, project plans).
- Proficiency in project management and process auditing.
- Ability to conduct time studies and standardize processes.
- Familiarity with loan servicing functions such as loss mitigation, foreclosure, and bankruptcy is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with MSP, Black Knight/LPS, and Sagent preferred.
