Our ‘EDM & Market Interaction’ team is responsible for the operation of the applications that manage energy data from the gas division and, in future, for electricity. To this end, we will shortly be looking for a Business Technology Analyst for our Kassel office to support us in the operation of our Energy Data Management System (EDM), with a focus on electricity.
What Will You Do
- Operations and Incident Management: Responsible for the stable operation and continuous enhancement of the business application EDM (Energy Data Management) in accordance with established IT standards including incident and problem management
- Change and Update Management: Manage application updates, patches, and changes to maintain system stability and address evolving business and regulatory requirements
- Test Management and Quality Assurance: Ensure proper testing and quality control processes, including test case creation and execution, are followed before implementing changes, enhancing reliability and minimizing disruptions.
- Business Efficiency Analysis and Requirements Gathering: Gather, analyze, and prioritize business and technical requirements, working closely with architecture, development teams and stakeholders to design sustainable and integrated IT solutions
- Technology Assessment and Innovation: Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that could benefit the company, supporting continuous innovation
- Vendormanagement: Coordinate external service providers and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient service delivery
- Project Work & Agile Collaboration: Contribute to projects and actively participate in agile teams and methodologies, particularly Scrum
- Qualifications in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a related field. Ideally, experience in the energy industry
- Strong knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle and SQL.
- Experience in the operation and administration of Linux systems.
- Experience in application server and modern web technologies (e.g., SOAP, WSDL, XML, REST)
- Practical experience with cloud technologies, ideally within the Microsoft Azure environment.
- Ability to evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential benefits for the company
- Proficiency in business analysis techniques and requirements gathering
- Experience in designing IT solutions and understanding of software configuration
- Experience in developing business cases, functional roadmaps, and strategic planning
- Experience in test management and conducting quality assurance processes
- Fluent in German and English
