BI Engineer/ Analyst– Azure, SQL & Power BI

My customer who are a leading logistics firm are looking for a business-facing BI Engineer/Analyst to support their internal teams in developing reliable reporting and analytics solutions.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand operational requirements and translate them into scalable Power BI solutions. The role requires strong technical expertise combined with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into BI solutions
• Build and maintain gold-layer datasets and semantic models
• Develop complex DAX measures and production-ready Power BI reports
• Use SQL to transform, analyse and validate data
• Take ownership of Power BI solutions from initial requirements through to deployment and ongoing improvement
• Ensure consistent KPIs and high data quality across logistics reporting

Your Profile

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and advanced DAX
• Solid SQL skills and experience with Azure-based data environments
• Experience building gold layers and semantic data models
• Track record of owning productive Power BI reports end to end
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience within logistics, supply chain or operational reporting is beneficial
• Fluent German is required for the role
