Summary
The Cost Accounting & Decision Support Analyst supports the organizations enterprise cost accounting function within the Decision Support & Cost Analytics team, with primary responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the Strata cost accounting system and supporting integration with EPIC and other operational data sources.
This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of cost and activity data used for financial reporting, service line analysis, and strategic decision-making. Analyzes, records and reports on the direct and indirect expenses of patient care, services, and operations within hospitals, clinics, and insurance providers; develop cost models, perform variance analysis (budget vs. actual), and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction to support financial performance. Works closely with Finance, Reimbursement, Decision Support, and operational leaders to support cost modeling, allocation methodologies, and healthcare-specific analytics across a complex health system environment.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field required.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare cost accounting or decision support or financial analytics required. Strat experience preferred, EPIC reporting (HB/PB) preferred.

Other: Advanced Excel and analytical skills required. Understanding of healthcare concepts. Ability to interpret financial data and identify trends. Strong attention to detail.
