Job Description And Duties

Under the direction of Business Systems Manager, the Analyst II is responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks requiring regular, innovative problem solving within broadly stated and general guidelines. The scope typically includes multiple DWC program areas and involves working with the Business Systems Manager to plan, develop and implement business systems solutions that are essential to the mission of the overall Division. The Business Systems unit will ensure, from a business perspective, that the various DWC program needs are met, including working in partnership with program managers and IT staff to achieve the defined goals of the Division’s projects.

Working Conditions

This position is located at: 1515 Clay St, Oakland, CA 94612.

Our Oakland office is located in downtown Oakland, two blocks from the Oakland City Center/12th Street BART station. Within walking distance are delis, burrito and sandwich shops, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai and Italian restaurants, barbecue, cheesesteaks, pizza, coffee shops and fast-food restaurants.

The incumbent will work 40 hours per week primarily in an office setting equipped with standard office equipment. Air conditioned, in a high-rise building with elevator access, cubicle or shared space with natural and artificial lighting. In addition, the Analyst II works in close proximity to others. The position is required to work extensively on computers. Also required to use telephone, copier, and scanners.
