About the role

This role is a key contributor within our Design team that is responsible for the strategy, design and quality of all Ultracs products, from new modules to enhancements and future regulatory‑driven updates.

As a Business Analyst, you will provide high‑quality analysis, specification and workflow design to support new and enhanced product functionality across the Ultracs suite. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, clients and development teams to ensure our products remain compliant, competitive and aligned with evolving industry expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Regulatory analysis to identify legislative impacts and translate them into product requirements
• Client requirement analysis and alignment with Ultracs products and services
• Functional specification development including business rules, workflows, UI concepts and database design
• Market trend evaluation to recommend enhancements and new product capabilities
• Collaboration with the Development team to design solutions and develop reference documentation
• Knowledge dissemination through presentations, workshops, training sessions and internal collateral
• Undertake consulting assignments and assist in first‑line support from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Commerce or Economics, or equivalent commercial experience
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst within the Credit Union industry; strong Banking or Financial Services backgrounds also acceptable
• Demonstrated capability in analysing and managing regulatory and legislative changes affecting financial products
• Experience writing business requirements and working within a software development environment
• Strong understanding of banking products and systems.
