- Analyzes HR business requirements and provides functional expertise for Dynamics 365 Human Resources and related HR business capabilities.
- Translates HR policies, procedures, employee lifecycle processes, and business requirements into sustainable system configurations, business process designs, test scenarios, and support practices.
- Investigates and resolves functional issues related to employee records, jobs, positions, organizational structures, compensation, benefits, leave and absence, onboarding, offboarding, employee self-service, and manager self-service.
- Reproduces issues in non-production environments to determine root cause, validate corrective actions, and reduce production risk.
- Maintains HR system configuration including organizations, jobs, positions, compensation frameworks, benefits plans, leave and absence policies, skills, certifications, onboarding, offboarding, and self-service functionality.
- Supports post-implementation sustainment by validating configuration, aligning HR processes to standard functionality, and reducing unnecessary customization where practical.
- Assesses the functional and cross-process impact of proposed changes across D365 HR, D365 Finance and Operations, payroll-related integrations, reporting, security, employee self-service, and downstream HR processes.
- Prepares change documentation, configuration notes, release readiness materials, implementation support materials, and test evidence.
- Creates and maintains runbooks, support procedures, configuration documentation, business process documentation, user guidance, and knowledge articles for assigned HR functional areas.
- Contributes to a known error database and repeatable support practices that improve service consistency and reduce reliance on individual knowledge.
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent combination of education, HR business process experience, HR system experience, D365 application experience, and ERP sustainment experience will be considered.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Human Resources, Finance and Operations, Power Platform, or related Microsoft certification is preferred.
- Human Resources professional designation such as Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR), or equivalent, is considered an asset.
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS), Human Capital Management (HCM), ERP Human Resources, or comparable cloud HR platforms.
- Typically requires 3 to 5+ years of Dynamics 365 Human Resources, ElevateHR, or comparable HR application experience, including functional support, configuration, implementation, enhancement, or sustainment activities.
- Experience supporting HR processes such as jobs and positions, organizational structures, employee records, employee lifecycle management, compensation, benefits administration, leave and absence, onboarding, offboarding, employee self-service, and manager self-service.
- Experience working on Functional Design Documents (FDDs), configuration, process alignment, process documentation, test scripts, and user support materials.
- Experience performing process analysis, process redesign, fit-gap assessment, documentation, data validation, and continuous improvement across HR business and system processes.
- Experience in a post-implementation sustainment environment, including level-two functional support, incident and problem resolution, release support, regression testing, user acceptance testing, and transition from project delivery to business-as-usual operations.
- Experience coordinating with HR leadership, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, technical teams, vendors, Microsoft partners, and support teams to resolve issues and implement controlled changes.
- Working knowledge of HR business processes and workforce management practices, including organizational management, job and position management, employee lifecycle management, compensation, benefits, leave and absence, onboarding, offboarding, talent data, skills, certifications, and self-service processes.
- Strong ability to translate HR business requirements into functional design documents, configuration decisions, process recommendations, test scenarios, and support documentation.
- Ability to diagnose issues, distinguish between configuration, process, data, integration, reporting, security, and user adoption causes, and recommend practical corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and interpretive skills, including the ability to explain HR system concepts, process impacts, options, and limitations to business and IT audiences.
- Strong documentation discipline, including runbooks, knowledge articles, configuration notes, known errors, process maps, test evidence, and release support materials.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, business relationship management, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Sound judgment, attention to detail, discretion with sensitive HR information, and ability to manage competing priorities in a post-implementation ERP / HR systems support and sustainment environment.
