Senior Technical Product Specialist
Indexed description
Workplace Type: Remote
Req Id: 3237
Responsibilities
- Own product artifacts from definition through release, including epics, features, requirements, acceptance criteria, release content, readiness tracking, and enablement materials.
- Prioritize the product backlog using telemetry, evaluation results, customer input, and SME feedback; synthesize that signal into readiness, scope, and trade-off recommendations with the Product Manager.
- Build and maintain direct SME and end-user relationships within the module’s key user workflows and problem areas, bringing that perspective into product decisions through technical sessions, demos, webinars, and validation conversations.
- Use AI tools to generate concept and validation prototypes, test jobs-to-be-done assumptions, validate flows with SMEs, and de-risk decisions before commitment.
- Partner with the Product Manager, engineering, and UX to anchor the user and technical perspective.
- Support the broader Technical Product Management team by sharing domain knowledge, reinforcing team standards, and offering peer support to newer Technical Product Managers.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a Technical Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, implementation, or closely related domain role, with direct ownership of requirements, backlog, and release artifacts.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent professional experience in a relevant domain will be considered.
- Experience translating user, SME, telemetry, support, and evaluation insight into prioritized, well-defined requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain direct relationships with SMEs and end users, and to bring that input back into product decisions.
- Working fluency in operational procedure management, including how procedures are authored, reviewed, approved, published, executed, and revised in industrial or regulated environments.
- Experience working with operations, maintenance, engineering, EHS, quality, or compliance stakeholders who rely on controlled procedures, work instructions, or standard operating procedures.
- Practical experience writing or reviewing requirements and acceptance criteria at a quality level that engineering can build from without substantial rework.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, precise requirements, release notes, customer-facing explanations, and enablement materials under time pressure.
- Comfort working with AI-generated artifacts, with the editorial discipline to assess them critically rather than accept them uncritically.
- Familiarity with AI capabilities in a product context, especially for drafting, analyzing, transforming, validating, or summarizing procedural content.
- Experience working in or around multi-tenant SaaS product architectures
- Fluency in content management workflows and related product surfaces, including procedure authoring, template structure, versioning, approvals, publishing, execution support, and reporting.
- A strong track record of taking ownership, following through on commitments, and communicating clearly when priorities or trade-offs change.
- Effective collaboration with engineering, UX, support, implementation, and commercial counterparts to balance usability, configurability, technical feasibility, compliance expectations, and customer delivery needs.
- A learning mindset, with a willingness to seek feedback, engage with team standards, and continuously improve technical product management skills.
- A willingness to share domain knowledge with the team, mentor newer Technical Product Managers, and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Genuine enjoyment of the people side of work, including collaborative problem-solving and maintaining a steady, positive presence under pressure.
