We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to play a critical role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technology solutions. In this position, you will analyze current systems, produce documentation, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. Your expertise in data projects and regulatory reporting will be essential in supporting our development teams and ensuring compliance with UK and European regulations.

Responsibilities

• Apply Agile Project Management principles to project execution
• Convert Business Requirements Documents into meaningful technology requirements to support backend and frontend development processes
• Perform gap analysis on current system architecture to provide valid timeframes for tasks outlined in Business Requirements Documents
• Produce written documentation to support work, report findings, and present to stakeholders as necessary
• Prepare Epics and Stories for review, estimation, and delivery by the technical team in collaboration with Product Owners and Subject Matter Expert Business Analysts
• Conduct grooming sessions for the development team to convey business logic for future sprints and Jira tickets
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date status of Jira Epics and Stories in terms of workflow and status
• Provide walkthroughs and workshops of detailed requirements and acceptance criteria with the business to achieve sign-off
• Assist in preparing and conducting end-of-sprint reviews with business stakeholders
• Support test teams with relevant documentation and help define additional regression and use cases where existing test packs are lacking
• Ensure all processes moved into production environments are supported by updates to documentation, source control, and Confluence pages

Requirements

• 3+ years of Business Analysis experience within an IT division or company
• Experience in data projects, data business analysis, data mapping, and big data
• Proficiency in data structures, data types, and data relations
• Expertise in data flow and ETL tools such as Matillion or Informatica
• Skills in SQL to query the data warehouse, including data analysis query capabilities
• Understanding of UK and European regulations, especially around trade reporting
• Familiarity with software development methodologies
• Experience working on regulatory reporting focusing on systems controls, completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting, as well as data reconciliations and exception handling
• Knowledge of financial services, with an understanding of financial and related market data, is strongly preferred
• Qualifications or certifications in Business Analysis or Agile Project Management
• A strong team player and problem solver, self-sufficient and delivery-focused, with the ability to constructively address issues
• High level of written and spoken English (B2 or higher), with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Agile and Agile Lifecycle Management
• Proficiency in Atlassian Confluence and Atlassian Jira
• Knowledge of MiFID II and regulatory requirements, standards, and procedures
• Competency in Requirements and Change Management
• Financial or exchange experience
