Job Title: Software Business Analyst
Location: Florham Park NJ (onsite 5x a week)
Salary: up to $130k base annually plus benefits, 401k, PTO, etc (Based on Experience)
Note: We are looking for individuals who can support one or more of the following areas:
1. Internal stakeholder and system initiatives
Support enhancements to our CRM used for prescription processing, as well as external-facing platforms used by providers and sales representatives.
2. Client-facing stakeholder and system initiatives
Similar in scope to the above, but with a stronger client-facing focus and greater involvement in API and integration-related efforts.
3. E-commerce and EDI initiatives
Support the development of a new non-PHI ordering platform and manage data exchanges through EDI, including purchase orders and related transactions.
The goal is to keep the team flexible so members can contribute across a variety of projects, while recognizing that each individual will likely develop subject matter expertise in one of the areas above.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Software Business Analyst to help deliver business-critical software solutions. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, analyzed, and translated into functional specifications. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, experience in software development environments, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements for new and existing systems
- Perform gap analyses and document workflows, wireframes, use cases, and functional specs
- Partner with development and QA teams to review scope, track progress, resolve roadblocks, and support testing
- Communicate project status, timelines, risks, and issues to stakeholders
- Evaluate solutions for scalability, usability, and implementation readiness
- Analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements
- Support system enhancements and ensure compliance with HIPAA and related regulations
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to reporting and process standards
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as a Functional or Software Business Analyst
- Experience supporting large-scale IT solutions in an SDLC environment
- Strong documentation, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, wireframing, and workflow documentation
- Ability to work cross-functionally with business, development, and QA teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred
- Healthcare and/or pharmacy operations experience required
