Reporting to the Principal Business Engagement – Technology, you will work with stakeholders, process owners and domain leads to understand business goals, uncover capability gaps and translate requirements into clear outcomes that application and platform teams can deliver with confidence.

What You’ll Do

Demand discovery and requirements

• Lead discovery with business stakeholders to understand the problem, desired outcome and measures of success.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews and current-state analysis to identify process pain points and capability gaps.
• Produce clear business requirements, functional specifications, process maps and options analyses.
• Partner with enterprise architecture and technical leads to assess feasibility, solution options and impacts across the technology landscape.
• Maintain the demand register and support prioritisation based on business value, strategic alignment and delivery capacity.
• Prepare Technology Demand Assessments that support informed go/no-go decisions.

Solution framing and evaluation

• Map capabilities, value streams and processes to show where proposed solutions fit and what they may affect.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate, rationalise or extend existing applications before pursuing new procurement.
• Support business cases, including options analysis, cost-benefit framing and risk identification.
• Contribute to vendor assessments, RFI/RFP activities, demonstrations and structured scoring.
• Support business acceptance and post-implementation reviews so delivered capability remains traceable to the original need.

Stakeholder partnership and quality

• Act as a trusted link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
• Keep stakeholders informed and aligned through workshops, reviews and clear documentation.
• Identify ambiguity early and resolve it before it becomes a delivery issue.
• Maintain complete, unambiguous and traceable requirements linked to business outcomes.
• Improve demand intake practices, templates and the team knowledge base.

About You

• You bring substantial experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in enterprise applications, technology operations or change programs.
• You produce high-quality requirements artefacts that stand up to scrutiny from business and technical audiences.
• You are confident facilitating discovery and eliciting requirements from non-technical stakeholders.
• You have supported or led vendor evaluations, including structured scoring, traceability and options analysis.
• You understand how integration, data and security considerations influence solution design in a large corporate environment.

• Clear, concise communication and the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
• Experience in mining, resources or another asset-intensive industry, or exposure to gated demand governance, will be highly regarded.
• Solid understanding of technology landscape in a large corporate environment. An appreciation of how integration, data, and security considerations shape solution design.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to shift between business and technical audiences effortlessly.
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity, asking the right questions to bring structure to complex or poorly-defined demands without waiting to be directed.
