Position Summary
The Business Analyst serves as a Senior-Level Analyst responsible for leading business analysis activities for the modernization and full re-write of enterprise .NET applications. The BA3 acts as a bridge between business/program teams and software development teams, ensuring alignment, clarity, and traceability from requirements intake through delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the elicitation, documentation, and validation of business, functional, and non-functional requirements
- Facilitate interviews and working sessions with program teams, SMEs, and technical staff
- Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, decision trees, and workflow diagrams
- Document current-state workflows, system dependencies, and business processes
- Design future-state workflows aligned with modernization goals and .NET architectural changes
- Support data migration planning by documenting data models, business rules, and transformation logic
- Develop quality-of-service (QoS) requirements such as performance, scalability, security, usability, and reliability
- Create report specifications defining report purpose, attributes, ownership, and runtime parameters
- Provide support for QA testing, UAT coordination, defect triage, and validation of fixes
- Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to project management and leadership teams
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with a technology focus
- At least one IIBA Business Analyst certification is required
- Additional Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus
#SKILL MATRIX:
- Requires an understanding of Application Architecture, re-architecting, or rebuilding strategies Viz., Azure Functions, API’s Sql Server, .NET Core.
- Legacy Systems Analysis and Integration points to determine modernization path.
- Familiarity with Cloud Technologies, Microservices and modern DevOps practices
- Experience with Project & Portfolio management tools like Clarity PPM, Azure DevOps, SharePoint and other off-the-shelf operational systems
- Past projects that involved writing requirements for legacy system migration, re-factoring or modernization would be highly preferred.
- 4 year college Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or Business with a focus on Technology
- At least One Certification from IIBA as a Business Analyst. Other Agile/Scrum certifications can strengthen credibility.
