Job Purpose
The Business Systems Analyst, Supply Chain is responsible for improving the efficiency, structure, and analytical capability of VulcanForms’ supply chain organization by enabling effective use of business systems, data, and reporting tools. This role focuses on organizing information, improving visibility into procurement activity, and building reliable analytical views that support planning, sourcing, and execution across the supply chain. This is a hands-on role that works closely with supply chain, procurement, finance, and information technology teams to improve workflows, data access, and reporting across supply chain systems and collaboration platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and continuously improve supply chain business systems used for procurement, supplier management, contract management, sourcing events, and internal collaboration
- Design, build, and maintain analytical reports and dashboards that provide visibility into procurement activity, supplier spend, and supply chain performance.
- Extract, organize, and analyze data from enterprise business systems to support reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain structured views of supplier and spend data, including category-level and supplier-level analysis.
- Improve data quality, consistency, and usability across supply chain tools and reporting outputs
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, standardize workflows, and improve information flow across the supply chain organization
- Manage and organize supply chain collaboration sites, shared documentation, and reporting workspaces to improve accessibility and alignment
- Document system workflows, reporting logic, and data definitions to support scalability, continuity, and disciplined execution.
- 3+ of experience in a business systems analyst, supply chain analytics, procurement operations, or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, information systems, engineering, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience working with procurement or supply chain data within enterprise business systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure, analyze, and interpret complex datasets.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
- Experience building reports, dashboards, or analytical summaries for operational, sourcing, or leadership audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and explain analytical findings clearly.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Microsoft-based collaboration or reporting tools used to organize, analyze, and present supply chain data.
- Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau, including dashboard design and data modeling.
- Experience extracting and shaping data from enterprise resource planning systems, preferably Epicor or similar manufacturing-focused platforms.
- Demonstrated experience building spend analysis, supplier performance reporting, or category-level analytics for procurement or supply chain teams.
- Familiarity with data integration methods, reporting automation, or application programming interfaces used to improve data access and visibility.
