Business Analyst – Program & Portfolio Management (Planisware)

Overview
Osprey Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a strategic Program & Portfolio Management (PPM) initiative within a growing Life Sciences organization. This role will support the implementation and optimization of Planisware while partnering with business stakeholders to define portfolio reporting, KPIs, and executive dashboards across both Planisware and Business Intelligence (BI) platforms.
The ideal candidate is an intellectually curious Business Analyst with exceptional requirements elicitation, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills. They are comfortable leading discovery sessions, documenting business and functional requirements, collaborating with implementation partners, and ensuring solutions are validated and adopted. Experience supporting enterprise software implementations is essential; Planisware experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
- Lead stakeholder interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to define business processes and requirements.
- Elicit, document, and validate business, functional, technical, and reporting requirements.
- Develop User Requirements Specifications (URS), process flows, use cases, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and solution design.
Solution Delivery
- Partner with business stakeholders, IT, and implementation vendors during solution design and configuration.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and solution validation.
- Ensure delivered functionality aligns with documented business requirements.
Portfolio Reporting & Analytics
- Partner with stakeholders to define portfolio KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements.
- Develop functional requirements for dashboards supporting portfolio planning, resource management, financial reporting, and executive decision-making.
- Collaborate with BI teams to ensure dashboards within Planisware and enterprise BI tools accurately reflect business needs.
Stakeholder & Project Support
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, IT, PMO, implementation partners, and BI teams.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and document key decisions.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate documentation while ensuring accuracy and business alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field.
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise software implementations.
- Expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation.
- Experience developing URS, functional requirements, process documentation, and traceability matrices.
- Experience supporting UAT and SDLC methodologies.
- Experience defining business reporting requirements, KPIs, or dashboards.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Life Sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Experience with Planisware or other enterprise PPM platforms.
- Experience defining dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
- Experience working with third-party implementation partners.
- Familiarity with regulated environments and validation practices.
- Exposure to AI-assisted Business Analysis tools.
