Lending Business Specialist

Overview:

As a Lending Business Specialist, you will use your analytical skills to unlock growth opportunities and continuously improve customer experience in lending products. You will support the Business through data-driven insights and solutions to achieve organizational goals.

What you will do:

• Monitor and analyze key metrics across the lending funnel – acquisition, conversion, utilization, repayment, and retention–to provide valuable insights on Bank customers
• Use data-driven insights to refine lending strategies, pricing, and segmentation
• Identify and unlock growth opportunities across target segments, industries, and ecosystems
• Collaborate with internal teams (product, risk, tech, operations) to deliver integrated solutions
• Engage in the end-to-end lifecycle of data analytics from problem identification, technical design, implementation of requirements, data gathering, analysis, data visualization, and storytelling.
• Continuously improve customer journey, approval process, and turnaround time
• Work closely with risk and credit teams to optimize underwriting strategies and frameworks
• Ensure high quality and accuracy of results.
• Deliver management reports and analytics periodically, as well as, ad hoc reporting.
• Assist the business leads in managing the lending portfolio.
• Track and facilitate remediation of complaints, regulatory issues, and process gaps in relation to lending products.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics or related programs
• At least 2-3 years of experience in business development, growth roles, or project management
• General understanding of financial management, credit, and risk management
• Ability to analyze data, customer behavior, and market trends to drive decisions
• Experience in building business cases and designing scalable processes for lending operations and growth
• Advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint, Tableau or similar data visualization software
• Proficiency in statistical programming languages (R, Python, NumPy, MatLab, SQL) is an advantage
• Strong communication skills
