Business Analyst (Retail)

The Business Analyst will serve as a crucial link between business stakeholders and the development team, focusing on gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements to enhance efficiency and identify opportunities for process improvements. This role is part of the Digital Experience team and involves supporting both ongoing operations and innovative projects, ensuring that project deadlines are met through effective collaboration with the Project Team.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Elicit, document, and validate business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and observations.
2. Develop comprehensive use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria that accurately capture business needs.
3. Work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize and maintain the product backlog.
4. Facilitate backlog grooming sessions to keep user stories and requirements up-to-date.
5. Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
6. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, translating business needs into technical requirements.
7. Collaborate with agile teams to clarify requirements and provide necessary support throughout the sprint lifecycle.
8. Assist in identifying and resolving impediments that may impact the team’s ability to deliver on sprint goals.
9. Assist in the development and execution of test cases to validate that delivered features meet acceptance criteria.
10. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the final product meets stakeholder expectations.
11. Engage in retrospectives to reflect on team performance and suggest actionable improvements.
12. Propose and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency within the agile framework.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an Agile environment.
3. Strong ability to elicit, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders.
4. Demonstrated experience in creating and managing user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
5. In-depth knowledge of Agile practices, including Scrum and Kanban.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
2. Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
3. Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Good working knowledge of business analysis and the BABOK Guide.
