  • We are seeking a Business Analyst to drive the design, development, and optimization of software solutions tailored for the education applications. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex district data requirements and technical implementation. You will be responsible for analyzing workflows, identifying opportunities for platform enhancement, and ensuring that our software solutions support critical educational processes—from instructional interventions to compliance reporting—while upholding the highest standards of student data privacy.
  • Requirements Gathering & Solutioning: Independently analyze complex user inquiries and business problems, evaluating multiple outcomes to formulate actionable recommendations and product roadmaps.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary conduit between development teams and district stakeholders, ensuring technical solutions align with educational objectives and user expectations.
  • Data Integrity & Compliance: Collaborate across departments to ensure data accuracy and integrity, ensuring all platforms remain compliant with federal, state, and local educational regulations (e.g., FERPA/privacy standards).
  • Operational Support & Training: Develop comprehensive technical and end-user documentation. Provide tiered support to ensure user adoption and effective utilization of data platforms.
  • Quality Assurance & Testing: Leverage a background in education data to develop and execute thorough unit and regression test plans, ensuring platform reliability.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate current IT processes and data platforms to recommend enhancements that improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Project Leadership: Establish and prioritize project backlogs, balancing immediate user needs with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Communication: Disseminate information regarding the cost/benefits of proposed technical changes, effectively translating complex technical concepts for non-technical educational stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or education degree
  • 3-5 years requirements gathering and application assessment experience
  • Education Sector Expertise: Deep understanding of school district data lifecycles, educational workflows, and the unique data compliance requirements of the K-12 environment.
  • Analytical Rigor: Strong quantitative and problem-solving abilities, with experience interpreting large data sets.
  • Technical Documentation: Proven experience writing clear, technical documentation, including functional specifications and user guides.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of business process modeling techniques.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate in a concise, professional manner, both orally and in writing, to diverse audiences.
  • Agile Methodology: Experience working on concurrent projects in a dynamic, fast-paced development environment.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building consensus and working effectively across cross-functional teams.
