Overview:
We are seeking a Business Analyst who will support our NYS client. The Business Analyst will support complex Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) functionality, including programs, questions, workflows, user roles, reporting, and applicant processes. This role will be working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, translate business processes into system workflows, and support testing, UAT, and implementation activities.
Duties:
- Facilitate stakeholder sessions with business users, program teams, and technical teams to understand CFA business processes and system needs.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements for programs, questions, workflows, user roles, permissions, reporting, and applicant-facing processes.
- Translate business processes into system workflows, user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
- Support analysis of application portal functionality, workflow configuration, reporting needs, and role-based access requirements.
- Partner with development, testing, and implementation teams to clarify requirements, review solution designs, and support issue resolution.
- Support testing, UAT planning, test execution, defect triage, implementation readiness, and post-implementation validation activities.
- 5+ years of business analysis experience supporting enterprise application implementations.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements.
- Experience translating business processes into system workflows, user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Ability to facilitate stakeholder sessions with business users and technical teams.
- Experience supporting testing, UAT, and implementation activities.
- Experience with application portals, workflow systems, reporting requirements, and user roles/permissions.
- Experience supporting public sector, grants management, funding application, or similar government program systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based enterprise application implementations and configurable workflow solutions.
- Strong written communication, documentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Business analysis, Agile, or project management certifications are a plus.
